Background

G2G Advisory was established to address a recurring issue in finance recruitment and education: the disconnect between how corporate finance is often taught and how it is actually practised. Many capable candidates struggle not because the concepts are inherently difficult, but because they are presented in opaque or performative ways that obscure practical decision-making.

Our approach is grounded in the view that corporate finance is applied business reasoning. Core concepts such as profitability, cash flow, valuation, leverage, and transaction structure are treated as tools used by professionals to make decisions under uncertainty, time pressure, and imperfect information. This reflects how finance operates in practice, across transactions, investment committees, and interviews.

Drawing on experience across investment banking, private equity, and strategy consulting, alongside postgraduate-level finance training and a strong grounding in economics, G2G Advisory emphasises coherence of thinking over memorisation. Candidates are taught to connect financial statements into a single narrative, identify what genuinely drives value across different business models, and communicate their reasoning clearly and credibly.

Preparation also reflects the importance of judgment and context. Work focuses on understanding why certain answers are appropriate in one situation but not another, how assumptions are challenged in live discussions, and how credibility is built through clarity rather than technical display. Independent oversight and governance input ensure that this approach is applied consistently, with clear professional boundaries and standards.

Breaking into finance is demanding for anyone. It becomes significantly harder without reliable guidance through what can feel like an opaque maze. Not because candidates lack ability, but because high-quality, practical information is unevenly available.

G2G Advisory exists to change that. We work one-to-one with driven students and early-career professionals who are serious about building careers in finance and related fields, and who value clear direction, rigorous preparation, and honest feedback from people who understand the profession from the inside.

This is not generic tutoring. The work is focused, demanding, and tailored to the individual. It combines technical depth, structured thinking, and real-world perspective to help candidates develop the confidence and judgment needed to perform when it matters.

G2G is for people willing to put in the work — and who want guidance that is direct, thoughtful, and built for the long term.
